DDoS Attack - Explained

DDoS attack is a known as Distributed Denial of Service attack. DDoS attack is a type of attack which uses DoS attack with multiple victim systems which are infected by a malicious program.

 DoS attack is cyber attack in which the attacker will attack a server and push enormous amount of traffic in to take down the server for the users. In DDoS attack the attack will be placed from various sources and the result will be a massive damage.

Working :

The Victim's computers are known as zombies. The attacker will provide more traffic such as hundreds and thousands towards the server. This will become impossible to stop the find and block the ip addresses.

It is hard to find these may ips and thier origins.

Types of DDoS Attacks : 

1. Traffic Attack :

                 This attack will send huge packets like TCP , UDP to the target. This will attack the server. This attack is accompanied by malware exploitation.

2. Bandwidth Attack :

                In this attack the attacker will load the target with lot of junk data. This will result in loss of network bandwidth and it will result in denial of service.

3. Application Attack :

               It will attack the victim's application layer and it will leave the resources unavailable.

How to prevent?

• Always develop a response plan for DDoS attack.
• Build a strong Network Infrastructure.
• Learn Basic Network Engineering
• Always have a cloud based storage.
• Understand all the warning signs.
